Let's continue with our story of the two young businessmen.
The first young man wishes for more hours in the day and more days in the week. There's just never enough time to get everything done. After all, when you own your own business, you have freedom, right? All this fellow really has is the freedom to work any 80 hours per week that he chooses.
However, after 15 years, this guy thinks he has become a very accomplished and successful salesman. He sells about one out of every three of his leads. He has to, because his "Yellow Pages" leads are very expensive, and since most of his prospects get at least three estimates, he has to be there to show the customer that he’s a better technician with a better product– a better fit for the customer.
The problem is, all of his competitors have the same product, so the "lowest price" becomes the winner most of the time, and that's why he really has to sell to get a higher price.
He often has to drive for miles, in the evening, away from his family at dinner time, and most of the time it takes two trips to get the deal. For every five or six sales trips he makes, he gets one deal. One roof for every four hundred miles of driving, and maybe 15 or 18 hours' time.
He’s also tired from working all day, so maybe he doesn’t give his best performance every time. Some of the appointments are "no shows", but he figures that's just the way it goes sometimes. When this happens, it's a good time to drive around and collect some of the money that's overdue.
Automatic Marketing Means Freedom
to Enjoy a Better Lifestyle
The second businessman doesn't have any of these problems. Remember, he embraces the Marketer's Mindset. He doesn't advertise in the "Yellow Pages". He has his own automatic marketing system that uses new technologies and techniques to find leads (at a fraction of the cost) and gets better, more qualified customers that are practically begging to do business with him. Price is almost never an issue, and it seems that he has no competitors!
Roofer number two doesn't run sales calls anymore, the customers buy from his automatic website, and they love to refer his company to their friends. The closing rate on these leads is very, very high and it just seems that new customers come in one side of his business and go out the other completely satisfied.
He has free time to spend with his family, and because of the way his automatic lead generation system works, his business grows year after year.
